What an Incredible Story We Are Living In! (Matthew 1:21; Philippians 2:6-8; Isaiah 9:6; Luke 2:7, 10-12, 52; John 13:5; Matthew 26:39 NIV)
She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins…Jesus Christ- King of kings, Lord of lords, Son of God
Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped,…For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
but made himself nothing,…She gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.
taking the very nature of a servant,…But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord.
being made in human likeness…“This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”
And being found in appearance as a man,…Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.
He humbled himself…After that, he poured water into a basin and began to wash his disciples’ feet, drying them with the towel that was wrapped around him.
and became obedient to death—…Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.”
even death on a cross!…From the manger to the tomb,
from the shepherds to the soldiers,…For God so loved the world.
Jesus came. Jesus loved. Jesus wept. Jesus touched. Jesus died. Jesus gave. Jesus lives.

This Christmas let this same mindset be yours. Let us be like Jesus by seeking our joy in the joy of others. Let us draw near to Him because He came to us. Let us love one another because He first loved us. Let us weep with those who weep. Let us touch the untouchables. Let us die to self. Let us give and let us live. Let this mind be in us

This Christmas and always-this holy time…For to us a child is born, To us a son is given.
