In this message we finish our series through the prison prayers of Paul by studying Colossians 1:9-14. I invite you to join me in praying this beautiful prayer over your brothers and sisters in Christ this week as the Spirit brings them to your mind. If you like a challenge try committing this prayer to memory. Then you would have it in your arsenal when you find yourself tongue tied and searching for words to pray over a friend from church.

I pray that (__________) would be filled with the knowledge of your will with all spiritual wisdom and understanding. I pray this in order that HE/SHE/THEY might live a life that is worthy of you, and that HE/SHE/THEY might be pleasing to you in every way, bearing fruit in every good work, and growing in the knowledge of you. I pray also that (__________) would be strengthened wit

you who has qualified HIM/HER/THEM to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light. For you have brought (__________) out of the dominion of darkness and into the kingdom of the son you love, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

I hope you can listen in as we enjoy our God together in the midst of His Word.
