OUR
MINISTRIES
Welcome to State Road Advent Christian Church's ministries, where we are dedicated to serving our community and sharing our beliefs. Our ministries are designed to provide support, guidance, and a sense of belonging to all members of our congregation. Through our various programs, we aim to strengthen faith, foster connections, and make a positive impact on the lives of individuals and families.

Student Ministries
State Road Student Ministry desires to see the lives of students changed by the gospel of Jesus Christ.
We believe that God has designed each individual and desires for them to know their Creator and Savior. At State Road you will find people who love God and each other as we seek to grow in our understanding of God, His word, and His leading in our lives.
For more information about our ministries to students please
see the details below or contact Pastor Timothy Tarr
-
Hide and Seek Club
Hide and Seek Club exists to assist parents in their calling to raise their children to be fully committed followers of Christ. We accomplish this by encouraging children to hide God’s Word in their hearts and to seek after the Lord with everything they’ve got. This group meets on Tuesday nights from 6-8pm in the Family Life Center.
-
Junior Church
Junior Church is available every Sunday for children ages 3-9 during the morning worship service. Junior Church is looking for workers middle school and older. Sunday School follows for children of all ages.

Varsity
Ministry to students in grades 8-12. This group currently meets weekly on Sunday nights from 6:30-8:30pm in the Family Life Center.
Outreach and Mission
Outreach is profoundly central in the life of the Christian Church. Congregations that only look inward – toward meeting the comfort needs of her members – will eventually die. If the church appears ineffective and lost, it’s probably because they have forgotten the “great commission” left to His followers by Jesus.
How else will lost people know about the grace and truth of Christ unless His followers share the good news?
Some outreach activities here at State Road:
-
Operation Christmas Child
-
Operation Christmas Child – Central Drop-Off Location for Aroostook County

Sunday School
Sunday school is a ministry to all ages in our church with the following purpose: to teach the whole counsel of God, and to grow in our knowledge and understanding of Him, so that we may become more like Christ. There are age appropriate classes for kids, youth and adults.

Sundays from 11-12PM, following a coffee fellowship after the morning service.
Classes meet to allow students to go deeper in their Christian learning and growth. We encourage family and Kingdom focus during the months of June, July and August by taking a break from the classroom.
One Another Groups
You can jump in at any time. The three groups are located in three different towns, but you can go wherever you'd like.
The Mapleton group, normally meet at the home of Dave and Jennifer Whitaker (619 State Road, Mapleton) on
Wednesday evenings, 5-7pm
The Presque Isle group, which will meet at the home of Joel and Elizabeth Whitaker (442 Centerline, Presque Isle) will also be meeting on Tuesday nights, but with a slightly later start time 6-8pm
The Washburn group, normally meet at the home of Josh and Sarah Tate (43 Hines Street, Washburn) on Friday nights, 6-8pm.
These gatherings will start with a potluck dinner so bring a dish to share. You can expect a time of fellowship, singing, a simple Bible study, and opportunities to pray for one another. Click the icon below to see what group works best for you!

Partnerships are vital within the Kingdom of God.

State Road values relationships with many organizations that seek to glorify God or bless needy people. In recent years, we have taken steps to move out of the church and into our surrounding communities with God’s truth and grace. We consider it a privilege to represent Jesus in our culture.
